I think that my family buys too much fruit. I’m not anti fruit, but there are like 30 apples in my fridge. My grandpa always complains about how he has to throw away so much fruit, but he's the one who buys way too much. Fruit is impotent to a diet but I don't need to eat like 10 oranges a day. My grandpa is very into stuff with nutrient. I don't think that we need that much food just to waste it. Another thing I think we have too much of is cookies. I don't eat that many cookies but my dad does. He eats them for breakfast, and he's getting kind of fat from the cookies. I really like cookies but I don't think we need 4 packs of cookies. Ice cream is another thing we don't need much of. My dad always buys some, but he's almost the only one who eats it. Soda is the same as it and again my dad is the only one who drinks/eats it. He's told me that I’m chubby before but he's the one eating all that junk. I think I buy too many socks. It weird but I but a pack like every month, but I have almost like 50 pairs. I kind of feel bad when I use money that I don't need to use. So mostly food and socks is what my family buys too much of. That's kind of weird. Me buying socks is a habit though, so that might change yet. But my father is the one who buys and eats most of the sweet things. I think my grandpa is buying less fruit already. So maybe we will buy less of everything in the future. Or not.

Person That Changed the World

The person that I believe changed the world would be Mohandas Karamchand Ghandi. I think that he proved that conflict can be solved we peace. Instead of killing he did thing like going on hunger strikes. He helped India get its indpendence in 1947. That was a huge change in the world. You can see how India has grown since then. He made a big change in the world. Some people relized that conflicts can be handled with peace.
Not only did he help India gain its independence, but he also went to college in London for law. I think that was a big thing back in those days since India was under control by the british. The british even arrested him before too. He was arrested because the british found out about him trying to help India gain independece when he was in South Africa.
He even solved more problems. Hindus and Muslims started fighting. At his age of 78 he fast(hunger strike) so that the bloodshed between the two grouops would stop. 5 days later the pledge to stop and he broke his fast. But 12 days later he was killed by a Hindu fanatic. It's hard to believe some one kill such a peaceful.
I think Ghandi really changed the world. It obvious that the big thing he did was help India. But he also cared for the people like when they walked to the ocean to gather freash salt. He was a good person. Its really inspiring when you see there were people like him. I believe many people have taken his ways by soving problems with peace. There are people though who don't like Ghandi and the way he was.

Thoughts on Video Leason

I think that the video was an easier way to learn because you could go back to it. Like some videos are hard to learn from because they're on one screen, but this one was nice because it was one were it could be on eveyones screen and they could go back to cartain parts of the video if they need help. I think one problem is, though, if the volume or something on someones computer isn't working the video wouldn't really work out. I think it was also nice because you couold take your time with itinstead of trying to figure out what the teacher did before. So I think it was nice, it helped me get through the photo shop stuff.

Reflection on "The Butterfly Circus"

Well I thing "The Butterfly Circus" was a nice clip. I think it has meaning to it. I think the ending was meant to be a touching part, and it was. He had no arms and no legs and he was able to swim. So when that little boy who had those walker things was inspired by him. The little boy was probably happy to see he isn’t the only one, and that someone in that condition can do things. Another good thing about the clip was that the one circus leader guy was willing to accept him to their circus. That is an achievement for that one guy because he went from a side show to actually being in a circus. I also liked the part where the people of the circus went to where those poor families were, and they gave that little boy money. It’s also nice to see that the circus took in people that had a hard past. Like that lady who was kicked out of her home when she was pregnant. I actually really liked that movie. It has its heart in the right places. It is always nice to see movies that have good meaning and end happily. I think it is kind of amazing that, that one guy feel into the lake and didn’t drown but instead found out he has the ability to swim. I think this can inspire people that are missing a limb, or don’t have the ability to use all there limbs. In the beginning people laughed at him, but at the end people cheered for him. Being in the side show I think made him think that he isn’t normal and made him feel bad. I think that’s why he spit in the one circus leaders eye, because he called him magnificent and he probably didn’t believe that. H probably thought he was a freak. When he left and the Butterfly Circus accepted him, he didn’t have a part. That was until he founded something he could do in the circus. This movie was definitely a nice movie to watch. I believe it can be inspiring to some people. It has the ability to get to some people and give them a happy feeling because they watched as he went from being in a side show to actually being in the circus. I enjoyed watching “The Butterfly Circus.”

4th Quarter Goals

Umm my big goal for the 4th quarter is to pass I guess. I barely pass math each qaurter, so I guess my goal would be to get a grade higher than a D. I also would like to get another A for geography for this qaurter. So I believe I will have to try "harder" this year. I space a lot in math (the class is super boring) so I guess I can try to stop that. So I got 3 A's on my repot card so I really would like that again. My only class I have problems with id Math. So this qaurter I want to try to at least get a C. At least Im passing. I also have to do a little better in Spanish. The thing is I can read spanish and understand it, but I can't hear it and translate it. I have to work on that, so this qaurter I will try and get better at that. I think I would also like to stop doing homework at the last minute. I think that would help me be less stressed or something like that. Yep, I really don't know what to say. I really don't know how long this suppose to be. I really have no more goals besides just doing better and getting better grades.

Opinion on testing

My opinion on testing is mixed. It seems like test in classes are good so the teacher knows you've learned. But things like CSAP are just kind of not needed. Maybe if it wasn't like 6 tests per booklet with would be better. I guess some of the stuff is fine, but seriously 3 hours of testing? Also on CSAP they only let you read. I felt like I was going to freak out because the room was so quite and I don't know I just felt like I was going to freak out. The other thing about CSAPS is how much money it costs just to make them. If schools are in budget cuts why do we waste money on something nobody likes? It’s just a complicated test. I don't do much to prepare for it. I do try and study sometimes for regular class test though. I think CSAPS can make some students really stressed. Oh well. Regular test are nice because they have less questions and don't take up to 3 hours. Also they don't give you question that you've never heard of before. I really don't like those test. 8 years of it can make someone go crazy. This last test I took we didn't get to get a break. At least it’s over. Until next year. But sadly everyone has to deal with many tests in their life. After Csaps I now appreciate regular test. Well I don't know how long this is supposed to be. I don't know what else to write. So yea. By the way, I’m not scared of test. I just don’t love them.

Free Write 3/3/10

In Spanish class we had some project on foods from certain countries. My friends and I had Ecuador. It's very very boring. We didn't do a good job. Everything had to be in Spanish, but luckily dictionary.com has a translator. Anyways I don't know what to say. Oh my gosh the weather today is so nice. It was nice yesterday too. I actually walked my dog yesterday. I usually don't because I have a stalker and he's freaking annoying. Seriously he called me 40 times in one hour. But I have decided to ignore him, and if he ever tries to talk to me I'm going to pretend he's not there. Wait he's coming to this school next year. Grrrrrrr. Yesterday with CSAPS I think I actually did well. Since I don't have a 2nd hour I got to go home early. It was nice. One thing that made me like crazy happy was the math test I had. I studied so much, and I've never passed a test in math this year. But I knew a whole bunch of things on it. Going on a different subject, you know how everyone tells us to stay in school? Even the president says it. How can we stay in school if there are being budget cuts and teachers are getting fires? Up until this year I never really cared about government stuff. Now it just makes me mad. Seriously how can the president tell students to stay in school with the classes of 30+ kids? Of course no one really cares about a teenager’s opinion. I'm not even old enough to vote. Speaking of being a teenager, when I was walking my dog we walked past some lady in her car and she quickly locked her door. I think that was more than rude. What the heck does she think I was going to do? Open the door and attack her? Oh well. I'm done ranting now so yea.
